The Man's moustache + The Lady's Lips

Yesterday was my besty Darbotz' wedding. He and Dhiandra were dated for quite a long while before they decided to get married.
Here in Indonesia, it's a common tradition to give gifts or souvenirs for guests in a Wedding Reception. Several weeks before their engagement, Darbot texted me and asked whether Kandura can produce this moustache and lips in sticks like how it appears in this picture.
As a friend I feel honored to make it and gladly he and Dhiandra liked it and asked us to produce more. They ordered 300pcs of each. They are so happy with the result. We are too!

How I really enjoy watching people at the reception making pictures with these 2 photo properties. People likes it and I heard so many good responses from them.

Me, Davina, Dini and Dodi with our sticks

This is how I look with a moustache

Davina and I playin cute

Avi and her hubby.
She used to be very young in the last time I met her.
And now she's married. :D

Was a great reception, good foods, great friends reunion and it was my 1st Wedding after my home coming so it's really good to meet friends and network for my business.

Warm blessings and joy greetings to ya Darbotz & Dhiandra!

The Up-cycle Project

My friend Farid Rakun just handed me a 30 days Closet Up-cycle Project last week.
The idea is, re-make some old clothes in the closet to make a brand new things to wear.
Anything wearable or usable.

This is quite challenging.

In the last 2 weeks, when I arrived Bandung.. the place where I work, I opened my closet and I was quite disappointed to see my old clothes.
Now I understand how I was too much into vintageous - second hand - flea market thingy.
I decided to keep some stuffs and do charity on some others.
Not that I wanted to wear them again, some styles are just too far gone out...there were lotsa dresses or shirts that has interesting fabrics, patterns, and colors.

A week after, Farid's call had shocked me.. how it fits for my needs of re-do all of these junks.
Frankly, I know nothing about fashion designing.
I don't sow, I don't manage the sewing machine, ok I knit ( for beginner ) and I cut ( with scissors, who doesn't? ) , and just like some other younglings in this modern era, I'm into Do-It-Yourself as well.

Let's see how I can manage my time for Kandura working (in the morning )and this 30 days project (in the afternoon)

Here's some youtube d-i-y video I embed that are interesting to see, and copy!
(it's legal isn't it? I'mnot obligated to invent or design.... right? )

Anyway, I have a wedding to attend this Saturday!
Have no idea what to wear, thinkin to do my 1st work of Up-cycle!

Wish me luck!

Museo de Sorolla

When you live somewhere that you feel the timeline would be long enough, then you shouldn't be hurry to visit some touristic places, then you need to think about it.
You better go and visit right away unless the time is rolling and there won't be any time left or you somehow just simply missed the interest to see.

I don't think I missed my interest to see Joaquin Sorolla's museum.
I knew his paintings after my 2nd Prado Museum visit and got a chance to see his collections.
From that moment on, I promised to myself to come to his house that had been set as his personal Museum which I found amazing.

7 days before my departure day back home, that was the day I finally went there all by myself.
And I fell deeper to his works.

Not having any churros dipped in hot chocolate with you was one of the biggest mistake I've ever done.
